Account Deletion Agreement
Effective Date: The date on which the user submits the account deletion request.
Please read this Account Deletion Agreement (“Agreement”) carefully before submitting your deletion request. Deleting your Linka account is a permanent and irreversible action. By selecting “Confirm Deletion” or submitting a deletion request, you acknowledge that you fully understand and agree to all terms below.
1. How to Delete Your Account
To delete your Linka account, please follow these steps:
• Open the Linka app.
• Go to the “Me” page (the rightmost tab in the bottom navigation bar).
• Tap the Settings icon in the top-right corner.
• Select “Delete Account.”
• Read the instructions carefully and complete the deletion process.
2. User Confirmation
By submitting a deletion request, you confirm that:
• You are the legitimate owner of the Linka account.
• The account is not involved in any disputes, investigations, or unauthorized use.
• You voluntarily initiate this deletion and understand the consequences.
3. Scope and Effects of Deletion
Once your Linka account is successfully deleted, the action cannot be reversed. The following consequences will apply:
3.1 Loss of Access
• You will lose access to all features, content, chats, community interactions, and services associated with your Linka account.
• You will no longer be able to log in or recover the account.
3.2 Data Removal
• Your personal profile, posts, comments, messages, and interactions may be permanently deleted or anonymized according to our data retention policy and applicable laws.
• Some information may be retained if legally required for safety, compliance, or fraud-prevention purposes.
3.3 Service Impact
• Any in-app purchases, coins, credits, subscriptions, rewards, or virtual items will be permanently forfeited and cannot be refunded.
• Any ongoing processes (e.g., reports, moderation cases) may continue after deletion.
4. Processing Timeline
After you submit your deletion request:
• Your account may enter a cooling-off period (e.g., 7–30 days) during which you may cancel the deletion.
• After the processing period, your account will be permanently removed.
The timeline may vary based on region and legal requirements.
5. Retained Information
Even after deletion, Linka may retain specific information for:
• Fraud detection and prevention
• Safety and community protection
• Compliance with laws and regulations
• Enforcement of Terms of Use
This retained information will not be used for advertising or commercial purposes.
6. Responsibilities Before Deletion
Before deleting your account, you agree to:
• Back up any personal data or content you want to keep
• Resolve any outstanding disputes or reports
• Cancel any active subscriptions via the App Store or Google Play
Linka is not responsible for any losses resulting from failure to complete these actions.
7. Agreement Acceptance
By submitting your deletion request, you acknowledge that:
• You have read and agreed to this Agreement.
• You understand the permanent nature of deletion.
• You authorize Linka to process your data in accordance with the Privacy Policy.
